There were some models that had retractable landing gear... but not the ones depicted, though.

If the Japanese were supposed to be flying A5Ms or Ki-27s and the Chinese were supposed to be flying I-153s, then despite how bad it is, they got that right.

come on, give some credit where credit is due, there were no strings on the planes and some of the dogfight scenes were fairly well done. i think some of you guys are just miffed because kate beckensale wasn't wearing a skin tight pleather suit.
