come on, give some credit where credit is due, there were no strings on the planes and some of the dogfight scenes were fairly well done. i think some of you guys are just miffed because kate beckensale wasn't wearing a skin tight pleather suit.

There is no credit due for that abomination.  At least with strings on the plane I can suspend my disbelief and potentially enjoy the movie.  Pearl Harbor allows for no such suspension, just disbelief at how bad it was.

I guess you guys would cry about the original Godzilla movies as well. It's an old move people, there wasn't always 100 million dollar big explosion Hollywood budgets or computer animation. They made best use of what they had at the time.

My favorite airplane movie will always be "Air Force".  No doubt that models showed up often, and the story was over the top at times.  But it never claimed to be the best thing ever and all the early B17 inside and out stuff makes it great fun.

Biggest mistake ever made was trying to make a serious Godzilla movie.  They miss the point.  It's supposed to be over the top and silly.  That's what makes those old ones fun :)
