Do you chop the vine down at the end of the year? Mine are nugget too.
EDIT: I froze mine... I see you are drying yours? Whats the correct way oh Jedi Beer Master?
I chop them off almost at ground level, just under the lowest cone.
There are a few schools of thought. I believe that if you preserve them (dry/freeze, etc) that is the most important part so they don't get moldy, I dry mine, then freeze them as most recipes are assuming that one is using dried hops, although I have used fresh hops in the past. I have others drying on screens outside, also. When I eventually finish building my press-brake, I am going to put them in a die I made and plug them in 1/2 oz. plugs for easier measuring

I have:
Nugget
Cascade
Stirling
Perle
Mt. Hood and
Hallertauer
The Nugget and Cascade fare the best out of them all. I can cut and send a few rhizomes to you next spring if you like. My sister just bought a farm a year or so ago and I am going to put a few more varieties at her house, also. My new favorite hop for brewing is Citra. They make an Awesome IPA with Chinook and Amarillo.
The Cascades that I grow here do not usually make it past the end of October as I usually use them to make about 20 gallons of a pumpkin lager to take to Punkin Chunkin every year.
