I understand, I also was talking about hoping to break into the 12's  a 12.0 is very different from a 12.9 which really would be fun to try for.

Is it realistic...absoutley.  The original as I bought it got me 16.1 with a d15 engine (102hp at the crank, with the interior removed.)  That got me excited to see just what I can do (on a limited budget) with my car.

The new engine probably produce around 200hp without nitrous, with maybe 250?  It doesnt sound like much but it is all in how it's used.

For example a B16 transmission has very short gears compared with anything else available save for a Type R (which is stupidly expensive)  My civic also doesnt weigh very much, particurally after removing everything I could find that could go.  Finally better wheels and tires (which are not currently exactly what I'd want) make a big difference.

A b20 swap stock civic according to many sources on Honda-tech.net show that a realistic speed with a stock(ish) vehicle is low 14's to possibly<--- high 13's.  I'm not remotley close to stock though.

So is it doable? sure, can my car do it?  I dont know yet, It's not ready to race.

if/when you're ready to buy a swap of anykind, send me a PM

I was looking through my old PC and found one of my favorite pictures. My wife riding my 2007 GSXR-600. This was her first time riding a bike solo. The bike was only about 2 weeks old. She dropped it twice while coming to a stop as she couldn't reach the ground until the bike was already on its way over. No real damage, just a few scratches. She got right back on though. Its a crappy cellphone pic but man is it sexy to me.

We bought her a nice Jacket, helmet, gloves, and a 2007 Ninja 250. We rode for a while but she never really felt comfortable on the bike. Too many years of her parents telling her how deadly they are and she would die on one. One day we were riding through our neighborhood on the way to meet some friends to go riding and she made a mistake around a curve. She layed the bike over at about 30mph and slid into the grass off the road. I saw he in my sideview mirror and almost wrecked my bike trying to stop and get back to her. It was a minor fall and she was not injured (just a few scratches and bruises). From then on she still wanted to ride but I decided her head was not into it and she was going to make a mistake and kill herself. I sold her bike shortly after and she hasn't rode since that day. I sold my bike about 6 months later as it got too hot in the summer time and its boring in florida with flat roads with no turns. Now she wants a can-am spyder. She says she would be much more comfortable on that. I will probably buy her one and me a new bike when we move to Colorado in a few years.

I added 2 doors and an aussie accent to my firebird when my second kid arrived.

Bloody cool car, mate.

That's coming from a Ford man, too.

It's good to see that an Australian sedan is getting some love over there.
