Dear Tupac,

You suck.

With my sincerest regards,
Sean

If you come to Texas or I end up in Florida for whatever reason we'll go fly. It took me 6 hours to fly it back from North Dakota. It's FAST.

I appreciate the offer and it sounds good.  :D

At this rate I may be moving there soon enough  ;)

and my groundspeed leaving north dakota (about 240mph)

I need to come up with a name for it.

Mooneys sure are ugly sitting there on the ramp. Look great in the air with gear retracted through.  :)

It sits so low to the ground I feel like I'm driving in a low rider. It's actually smaller than the 172. Well, lower to the ground anyway. It's about 400 pounds heavier though.

Yeah, they are low riders. She looks like she's ready to leap skyward  :)

No time in a Mooney here but it's on my bucket list.

Good little airplane.  The instrument panel is on your lap and if you squint you can imagine the wing being that of a P-51. Back when I had the world by the bellybutton living on a student loan I had access to a 20J for $95/hr wet. Cost per mile was the same as the employee rate in a 172 so whether I needed time or needed to get where I was going made the decision. Traveled to/from Florida a few times from Ohio as well.

Ours had cooling problems with some not so great baffle work under the cowl and some nose gear issues because of careless renters pulling the thing out of the hangar too sharply. It'll turn but turn radius with a towbar was limited.  It had more problems when some jerk took it off the end of the runway, through grass and into the far side of a ditch. He floated most of the way down a long enough but not THAT long runway and ripped the nose gear out but walked away. I'd left that place by then and moved to Florida when that happened. I only flew it once since then (2007 to the Dayton gathering with some other AHers) and it wasn't the same as I'd left it.

All in all a good choice.

Just remember to put the damn wheels down.

Whatcha driving? Rondar, you're Australian, no? I remember your name...not your location.

Wife's car is a certified pre-owned (1 owner) 2009 328i xDrive with premium pkg, sports pkg, convenience pkg. Basically loaded. 2 years left on the warranty (it only has 28,000 miles on it)

I consider it my segway to an M5 in 5 years from now. :D

Austrailian?  no.  I'm a Kansas boy.  I've got a 328i, 2008.  I just didnt want the 335's because of the maintenence and costs that could be involved in the hpfp and turbo's.  I have driven my car approximately 2000 miles since I got it.  I've had it about a year now.  LOL  its a garage queen it seems.  That said, I had a few chances to get a 528 but chose the 328.  Being in flat country here, I can average about 35mpg if I drive decent, and pushing it a bit it still can get 30-31.  I dont treat mine hard.  Money comes to hard for me to just floor it all the time, or try and race other cars like some do.  I bought it for a nice car.   :aok

To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

(Image removed from quote.)

I'd like to see that corvette make it from Fargo to San Antone in 6 hours  :D

Granted, it was also probably considerably less expensive than that corvette.
