3 days out, 3 days back,
Phx ->Flagstaff-> I-40 -> Fair Play, SC, -> Clarksville, GA first leg
Clarksville, GA South to I-10 -> Dickenson, TX second leg
Dickenson TX -> I-10 -> Phx return leg.
4400+ miles
31,.2 mpg
61.1 mph avg
(cruise control set at 3mph over the limit, and every day there was at least one hour spent in stop n go crap)
more cops than I could shake a stick at, 2 of which came up alongside and waved
zero tickets, warnings or pullovers.
Drivers side door reflector bailed (have to RTV it back on or replace it, plastic clippy-dealies have left the building
Drivers side window generates fairly loud wind noise at 75+ mph (have to adjust it inward at the top a lil so it seals a bit better at speed)
Other than that, car ran *flawlessly* and was a total blast to drive, especially the mountain twisties in GA.
Wackiest sign: 'Toad Suck Pond' .. dunno if that is a recreation activity or a place to work that leet skill, but it cracked me up when I saw it
Coolest place stopped: Rt. 66 Diner in New Mexico .. just plain cool to see the vette out front an listen to Beach Boys an the like while workin on a killer omelet.
