USA vs UK (secret invasion plans)
« on: September 20, 2011, 12:42:35 PM »
these were from 1930 when the US felt like the UK had thrown us under a bus to stay top dog.

I'm glad manifest destiny fell out of favor.

What a load of manure.  You can contingency plan all you like, but frankly we were in the middle of one of the
worst depressions in history and had no money for the military.

We still had guys using bicycles and broomsticks on training exercises in the 30s.

I assumed when I posted this that nobody will think that this is anymore than 'what if' planning.  And war planners plan wars regardless of current international relations.

I'm willing to bet there are plans on "what if" scenarios for the US military if it ever has to invade Canada or Mehico.  If not to conquer them at least to defend them.  It is not too far fetched for Chavez to think of himself just as Hitler did, so South America could easily see itself spiral downward.  Columbia and Panama would square off vs Chanez and his goose-steppers, then who knows where the rest of the countries would fall into place.  If Mexico gets hammered and eventually gets its arse handed to it in some manner, that is when the US steps in full scale.

I doubt it would ever happen, but then again this is a "what if" scenario.

Canada???  Not sure who they would scuffle with, they'd be on the defensive vs China or Russia probably then the US would step in and help its little brother out.   ;)

Not sure if Canada would need help, but weren't they having a little squabble with Denmark over some islands
over by Iceland?

UK drew up plans with America as the enemy as well...

The Washington treaty would put an end to the madness, very doubtful manifest destiny had anything to do with it.

I am all for liberating the UK from their tyrants and introducing democracy to them.  Are the B52s warming up yet?  Furball, put a red circle on the roof of your house so we know to to bomb there, mmmmmk?

Very real plans. We also had rough plans on how to handle Canada and Mexico. It is the nature of the US Military to consider all possible scenarios. This does not represent a conspircy theory exposed but instead sound military planning.

I would gladly put a red circle on my house.... I think the probability of it being hit are far less, if the Americans are actually aiming at it, than if they were aiming at something else ;) :D

Umm.. Ded.. That plan starts with a UK terrorist bombing your house and killing you thus firing up the US population.  Problem is nobody would care enough to get up in arms about it.  So they scrapped it.

I'd like to see the "what if" plan for New Guinea or Madagascar :D. Step one: Present Arms! Step two: Sit back and relax.

No, France will just send out their army of mimes. Distract our troops long enough for them to retreat.  :bolt:

The French were surprisingly powerful back in the day.  And by "back in the day", I mean the turn of the twentieth century and before.  Those guys put up a huge fight in World War I, it's just that they didn't update their tactics and Germany won via blitzkrieg.
