Your favorite Apps
« on: September 23, 2011, 07:31:33 PM »
Ok folks.
Whats your favorite, fun, or most useful apps?

One I just found is "Key Ring Reward Cards"

If you do any kind of real world shopping you probably have a half dozen of these damned so called reward or club cards.
I hate the damn things. Worse yet I hate searching for the damn things

"Key Ring Reward Cards" lets you scan your card or enter your cards number into the program and store it on your phone.

another is "Bubble Level"

Exactly as the name implies

I use the GO series on my Droid X2.

Go Launcher
Go SMS
Go Weather
Go ClockGo Keyboard

Great customization.

I also use TeslaLED, good LED/strobe app.
Angry Birds/RIO (of course heh)

Dred, last time someone tried to scan their reward card at my workplace on their iphone, my reader wouldn't pick it up. Not sure how well it works normally.

I'm glad I actually have a phone that can run half the stuff now. I had an LG Ally up until a week ago. Couldn't even play Angry birds/any games because it lagged out. I have yet to overload this thing, it's incredible.

I actually use the strobe light as a second light on my truck to go with my blue strobe (V.F.D.), it works great.

Words with Friends(who doesn't play that one?)
MyTracks(I use for running or trail riding)..
My phone is rooted and running Cyanogen Mod, so I also use SET CPU and SuperUser as well so I can over-clock as well as tether and get rid of unwanted default apps..

I have one of those smart phones now too.

It's way smarter than I am, I have no idea what apps I have or where I would go to find one.

I can tell you that after using it for a while, me and another pilot who has a similar phone weighed them to see whose was lighter.

Mine was just a gram or two heavier than his, yet his looks a bit smaller. Maybe I need to delete a few messages. :D

Skymaps pretty cool.

If I have nothing better to do Imm mess with 3D bowling

Benjamin moore has a nice app callen "Ben Color Capture" Gotta adjust thg lighting but basically you take a picture, set it. then touch anywhere on the picture and it comes up with a selection of Benjamin Moore colors.
Though I usually end up using the "locate" feature on it to find the nearest paint store if Im in a new area. It does come in handy.

Slacker Radio.

And to startle the shhh hell out of people. or to just be annoying.
Air Horn

decent selection of horns too
