Current Map... Baltic

This is one map that really needs to be removed from rotation. There was 3 Huge furballs going on, one on each front and the rest of the map was relitively dead. On top of that GVing sucks on this map. Spawns are incredibly far from the bases. I guess if you enjoy flying into a 100 plane furball this map is for you but for us GVers this map sucks.

Baltic has always been one of my favorites, fairly consistent fights in the A41, A45 area.  I always look forward to it coming up in the rotation.

Make a mission to a different base. That's how I started the fight with the Bishops (Knit flyer). It wasn't as large as the 41/42/43/45 furball, but it drew some attention. But now the Bishops are getting Ganged and I feel bad.

  the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

LOL so a map that encourages decent air combat is a bad thing?

This is actually my favorite map.  It brings together great terrain, a decent naval aspect (though truly and realistically it's more than there should be), and great fights wherever the action happens due to close proximity air and GV bases.

Some of the best fights I've had in this game have been low and fast weaving in and out of the hills and valleys of this map.  If I could do one thing for it, it'd be remove the carriers.

It strongly discourages GVers though and that a bad thing for a nearly full time GVer

LOL well you got your GV wish.  GVs were having at it.  Tough to find anyone in the air.  So it goes! :)

Other maps are harder to find an air to air fight.  Sometimes you have to be a little flexible and find the fun.  I remember an old map that used to be in the rotation back in AH1.  I think the actual terrain name was AKDesert or something similar, if memory serves someone from the Arabian Knights built it and it was the first "big" map.  It was also unique in that it had a desert terrain tile set.  The bases were a little far apart and large expanses of the map were at altitude over some stretched of the map "ground level" was 6-10K (again if memory serves).  I never found it particularly good for air battles, but the map was cut by several deep canyons and the middle land masses were split into three wedges by large rivers that you could sail a cv through, outside of the middle which was surrounded by water were GV bases.  That was the map that I discovered how much gun GV's could be.  After a while a map I disliked became one that I liked to see in the rotation because it was a change of pace and let me try and learn something new.

baltic was great fun last night choice of furball's, intense action. 

The way the game should be played IMO,  some players couldn't handle it though.  :D
