So... does the game need Win7 as a OS? I have XP and my system does not seem to want to install it.   :headscratch:

I don't play on the PC but from what I understand from some previous posts BF3 runs on DX11, which is incompatible with XP.

I DL'd it but when I try to join a quick match it says it can't ping the closest server and that it could be my firewall. So I turned my firewall off and still can't connect. Any advice guys?

Nevermind I fixed that problem. Now its telling me my AMD drivers are out of date and need to be updated. I'm almost positive there is nothing in the PC from AMD. I have an Intel dual core processor so I'm uber confused. HELP please?  :cry

Intel's CPUs are perfectly acceptable for gaming, the best ones are from intel. It's their GPUs that suck.

Sounds like you might have conflicting drivers. Make sure they're all updated. Go to the manufacturers website and download it directly, not your windows update.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I played it for several hours tonight and I think I got like 4 kills lol. Seems pretty fun but I'm gonna need a better computer. I had the graphics set pretty low and it was still a little jumpy.

It's a Beta, lag is expected.

I played it a few hours too. Seems kinda crappy. Graphics are awesome but either the servers are already full of hackers or the net code is bad.

You can empty a clip to a stationary enemy, he turns and shoots 1 shot back you're dead.

Sadly BF has always had a bit of a problem with damage scaling on normal mode. its always usually taken half a clip to the chest to kill someone. Most experienced ppl on Hardcore go for the head shot right away. Thats how people are able to 1 shot outgun you like that.

Hardcore mode is the best way to play battlefield. the damage scaling is best there.

I know what you mean, but I have to think it's lag because every so often my player will jump 5ft from where I was just sitting stationary.
