Need help identifying this bird
« on: September 30, 2011, 04:33:39 PM »
I looked in the PA bird identification, but can't seem to find it.
It looks(somewhat) and sounds like some kind of a chicken.

Ok. Never seen one before.... I'm not from around the part of PA I'm currently in.

And there was recently a flood around here and I went exploring down this one path. There was a baseball field off to the left of it and there were two of these birds inside one of the batting cages.

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

I grew up hunting in PA. When i was younger  :old: we would kick out dozens  of them and limiting out on them was all but guarenteed. Not any more unfortunately, pesticides and foxes have really taken their toll. Last wild one I saw (truly wild and not released by the game commision) was about 10 years ago. Shame really, beautiful birds, and really fun to hunt.
