tracer check box for each aircraft
« on: October 02, 2011, 02:31:31 AM »
Instead of just having the option be either "on" or "off" for the entire list of gvs and planes. Why not have the option for each one. so instead of having to uncheck the tracer box every time you want to switch from pony to wirble you just have the box checked for pony and unchecked for wirble.

I'm not too familiar with the real thing, but did airplanes have a button in the cockpit to not fire tracer rounds? I always thought tracer rounds were in the ammo belt and you had no ability to skip over them when firing the guns.

If anything, for you people that like to try to sneak up on someone and not spook them with tracers, make it like gunsights are now...each plane has its own gunsight that can be set in the hangar.

+1.  Again.  How much coding could be needed to move the tracers check box to the hangar?  :headscratch:

You're quite right, they didn't actually have the ability to choose whether they could shoot tracer round or not. I was just getting overexcited :lol

you're thinking a selection for each individual aircraft like the op, but what if it was the same option that it is now, just moved to the hangar?

A check box for each arcraft. so its under the list on the clipboard when you have selected your aircraft. then you have the option to check or unchecked it for that specific plane. Doing this would eliminate having to go to flight preferences every time you change aircraft and favor having it or not.

Yeah, I was thinking about it being the same system as the gunsights
