anyone else think this is all a bit fishy?

Not as much as posting pictures of a bb gun and claiming it's a .22 whilst telling everyone about the squirrels you shot with it the week before the season opened. :lol

Honestly, you'll feel better quicker and get faster results simpley moving on, learning from your previous mistake(s), saving up for a new one, and waking the kids up at 8am every morning for a year with it.

I'll add LOCK UP YOUR VALUABLES to the aforementioned advice.

Leaving it "behind my mom's car" is not locking it up.

Lesson learned, I suppose (or I hope?)

If you leave your belongings unsecured in the US military:

1) Someone will drink your milkshake
2) You will be punished by Article 15 of the UCMJ (you can look that up for something to do in the spare time you have that is not being filled by playing with your car)

In case your attention span is short I'll repeat it for effect...

LOCK UP YOUR VALUABLES!!

If they didn't like the sound of the nitro motor next time get an electric.  Just make sure you don't charge the batteries indoors unless they're in a safety sack and in a fireplace.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

:lol Again with it leaking fluids and being filthy, my dad didn't want it in the house, but now i'm going to keep it on my work bench in my room on a cookie pan to make sure no fluids leak out onto my floor.

I like the sound and power of a nitro tho  :(

All 3 of mine are in individual boxes, with locks, constructed for the sole purpose of containing them and/or any fluids that they may leak.

Hell, I have a lock on a $6 shovel.
Why?  Because it's mine and it would cost me more in fuel than the shovel is worth if someone absconded with it and I had to get a new one.

We put on the Camaro Nationals this past weekend and three camaros were broken in to at one hotel.

They broke passenger side glass and reached in to grab what they could.

We finally got our security system installed which includes a camera in the garage and motion sensors and glass break listeners all over the house

you know with these little miscreants roaming around the temptation to wire up a metal toolbox to deliver a nasty shock and leaving it out where it could be easily seen would be almost impossible to resist  :devil  Oh, and a camera to record it for posterity :)

I had it for 4 days man! 4 days and it got stolen! Then it sits burned for a month, the kids think they own the neighborhood

leaking fluid after only 4 days?   sounds like it was a POS to begin with.

It would leak from the exhaust after a really long run
