So you did it with exactly 40 hours, Nice.
I think it took me about 60, but I kept switching airplanes and doing stuff that I did not really need for my PPL (like spins).

I got my (first) glider check ride with under 10 hours of total flight.

WTG though Im starting powered flight this summer.
