PC diagnostics software
« on: October 04, 2011, 06:49:47 PM »
There any known freeware/shareware software for diagnosing PC problems. Mine could either be a CPU or a motherboard problem. Doesnt overheat, but response times are extremely slow, even with a format and fresh install with XP. Using 2gb DDR2 ram which tested out good when tested at boot process.

Clock speeds seem to match and where they are recommended to be set at

To really check memory, get memtest86.  They have a bootable CD.  Let that run for a day (as in 24 hrs) to get a really good check of your RAM.
