He gave up his position in August, because of his health issues.

Apple doesnt need saving.

Sad to see such an innovator pass.  As co founder of Pixar, he brought smiles to the faces of tens of million of children everywhere. A life lived well, the world is a much lesser place without him.      RIP Mr Jobs

Apple is in trouble in my opinion. It floundered when Steve stepped down with his health issues the first time. It's new phone coming out is being pummeled.......... only time will tell.

Yep.    I am not a fan of Apple anymore (had a IIe growing up).    But I always respected what Jobs and Wozniak were about.

wow, can't say i'm really surprised but i thought he might have a few years left.

the heart of apple success has always been the computers, not phones or mp3 devices. the company may not grow like it was but it will survive.
