"Here is a new picture of the one megawatt plant from Daniele Passerini's Twitter feed. It should be noted that the plant is not being tested today, but only one module out of the 52 that compose the plant. "

"What is the catalyst and why has it not been disclosed?

Only Andrea Rossi and a few close business partners know the identity of the proprietary catalyst. The catalyst is critical intellectual property, as it is the key to producing significant quantites of energy. A patent application has been submitted covering the catalyst(s) involved. It has been stated that when the patent application is granted and a full patent is issued, the information about the catalyst or catalysts will be revealed. "

Im betting Thorium is one of them. Mercury may be the other.  :noid

I hope this time the results are not altered and the results are just as dramatic as we all hope.

Fortunately (and unfortunately), the appearance of a reliable, safe, and abundant energy source will change the political and economic landscape on this world faster than anything to date.

Yep. If it works the effect will be insane. Oil would lose most of its commercial value making many 'certain' countries become bankrupt in less than a decade (while the tech becomes widely available) as vehicles become either powered by this or turn fully electric.... commercial aviation might return to turboprop as a plane driven by electricity from this system would be far cheaper to operate & have increased range... coal ceases to be an energy source too.

And the irony is.. the country where it happened was Greece  :devil

Nothing to do with the some massive conspiracy theory in this case. Historically, the media has jumped on the cold fusion bandwagon only to find it was false with doctored results. They will wait this one out to make sure it is viable before they start reporting it to the masses.

Rossi is the E-Cat's worst enemy.  He's nothing but an obstacle to the world learning what makes it tick.  The professionals following him are disconcerted at his technical ineptitude all while he's supposedly about to test a 1 megawatt steam machine.  1 MW.  You don't design that with high school formulas pulled out your ass.  But that's how Rossi's doing it.

He's on his way to being more hot air than substance in a couple different ways just like P & F.
