You most likely have a fouled firing pin. You tube the instructions on how to disassemble your Bolt and clean thoroughly and reassemble.

If you take your bolt and shake it, the Firing pin should rattle and move freely inside of the bolt.

Yep, if you don't clean the bolt and firing pin, the SKS can foul up enough to have the firing pin stick full forward. The net result is the typical slam-fire incident. I've seen whole 10 round magazines slam-fired. Talk about getting the Range Master's attention....

However, it's worse still to have a gun, not need it, or how to use it!

You can't fix stupid... People, especially women, should not shoot high powered weapons without some instruction prior.

I like this old lady in the video linked below... Gonna "shoot him in the toodles..."

Thanks Nef and Widewing. I knew what the cause was just didn't know if it was common to all SKS's or not.
Wow, I have never seen a whole mag do that   The most I have ever had was a 3 round slam fire
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.
