I was reading the terne post and thought "wouldn't it be funny if" :

HTC had a universal squelch command that would completely disable comms for the person. The kicker is this: On his FE is text would show, but it wouldn't be sent to the host.

Now think of the poosr idiot on line, not knowing he got "master squeched" He would be getting so pissed off that no-one was replying to him wondering WTF is going on. Usually a nut bag like this would get so frustrated he'd end up throwing is monitor out the window heheheheheheheheh.

The trick is, you can't tell him he's been "master squelched"    but, you can still collect his money

Actually, I like the idea.. though somewhat modified.

Have the user be squelched for x days (a week or so) as a probationary warning prior to kicking him... or... say second offense is 2 weeks... third is 3 weeks... and so on.  That will allow them to keep abusive players without having to listen to them.

The thing is, they should know they have been squelched.  Instead of seeing any message typed returned in the buffer, have "you have been squelched" return.

You can only be so annoying while flying since Killshooter is in effect.  The main source of annoyance coms from the coms.

Already works like that Kats.  Try typing to someone that's squelched you and see what happens.

As for your insults towards me...?  Well, be carefull throwing stones, is all I can say.
Good hunting

I would really like to see quick action taken for an abusers.  Perhaps the host has a bot that looks for key words or phrases and then auto-squelches that person and notifies them that it has done so.  I have seen way to much trash talk and filthy mouth language of late ... what a shame.
