He never mentioned age.   :headscratch:

It's just a game, and it doesn't really hurt you at all if someone else spends their playtime doing lame stuff

Problem is some of the "lame stuff" does have a negative impact on the game play.  That's the crux of this problem and just dismissing it as "it's just a game" does nothing other than increase your post count.

Concerning the watchdog; How many times have you thought about upping a flashing base but had another mission in mind. Then you see someone is there so you say hey, it's being covered and then head on your way. It's a psychological thing. You think it's being covered and it's not. Further, when I was on my way I saw the supposedly friendly and he never once dove on the tank until he saw me. The base had been flashing for quite some time. Further it was fully deacked. My guess he was directing the guy to the town acks as well. Then add to that the guy covering went back to his country the next day.

Now the CV's, they were almost perfectly parallel to each other, both sunk at the same time and in the middle of the ocean. Not even close to an enemy base. I don't think that is coincidence.

I'm not jumping to anything. I know what I saw.

Next time you see something like that get a video or screen shot.

:salute Nutz. True we don't have the ability to police others and that shouldn't be our job anyhow, but I think that if the moderators had more power to take care of this kind of thing in real time we might get somewhere.

Ditto on that

Why can't people get it through their heads that having a longer time between side switches does nothing to combat spying?

Has nobody else ever heard of the telephone, email, smoke signals and Vent or Teamspeak et al?

Not to mention cross country chat.

Gamers gonna game. That's the way it is... for now.

Melvin, you may be right. But I suspect that there is one way it can be stopped. If an allegation of "gaming the game" is made, sent to and sustained by HTC, then the offender should face a punishment befitting the offense. "Gaming the Game", defined as taking advantage of known or unknown "glitches" or "bugs" in the game, should be handled accordingly.  If the allegation of cheating is made and verified, then a ban may be in order. One , two weeks or a permanent ban might be called for. So the emails, Vent, telephone team-speak and smoke signals you talk about wouldn't matter. If someone switches sides in order to gain an advantage, and then exploits that gain, the question then becomes "How do we identify the offense in a timely manner?" and send it to where it needs to go? I don't always fly with my film rolling. Most probably don't. Perhaps if we had a way of notifying a Moderator, (not directly but via a swing out "complaints" board or something akin to this) as soon as we suspected something amiss, we might find a workable solution.
Here in the game as in real life, there ought to be KNOWN consequences for breaking the rules. These should be listed so that everyone is aware of the possible ramifications for their proven involvement in misdeeds. Suffice it to say, anyone knowingly making false claims against another should face similar punishment.

I have to admit that there are some people in this game, and I wont mention names, that really are just jerks.

Ive had a few situations, where I've been rtb'n out of ammo, plane banged up, and they have to follow you home to kill you. Lately I've been allowing kills to go home. Actually I damage an enemy plan to the point where they longer a threat, and allow them to rtb. Im getting into the wing wave thing. Maybe lead by example, and it might catch on. Who knows.

I can say this though, its a responsibility of squads out there to teach their members etiquit. Some squads just dont get it.

Yep, Alpha Hotels they are my .02 worth.

Do we really need to implement more tools to give the paranoid busybodies more to do with the too much time they clearly have on their hands?  Film.  Report.  Go on about your day.

On the Compello map they hid the cv in the mountains where you couldn't even bomb the thing once you found it. Heck you couldn't even see the cv except for it's wake and then you had to fly over the mountains to do that. No excuse for taking advantage of a glitch like that.

I have been asking via the forums for sometime that HTC do something about cv's being hidden from game play.  CV should be enjoyed by all.  There is almost no strategic purpose to hide a cv.  Let it be used, let it be sunk, let it change hands if the other country owns the base.

It is rediculous that this is happening still.  Perhaps a 2-3 sector retreat maximum for cv's from their corresponding bases?  This will make cv's go forward.

Wiley.

Well in a nutshell, yeah. I'm not offering the end all solution here, just some suggestions as to ways we might put an end to these transgressions. As stated in my post above, most people in here probably don't fly with their camera's rolling. So to say "Film. Report. Go on about your day" isn't addressing the problem, and hasn't seemed to work with much success. How many times have you witnessed something in-game and wished you had film of it but didn't because your camera wasn't on? There needs to be an option or avenue one has at their disposal for instances where one on views violations occurring and your not filming, that's all I'm saying.

I'm surprised anybody would defend intentionally exploiting a glitch, particularly since that glitch prevents people from playing the game as the designers intended.  I'm fairly certain HTC didn't design it so that countries could possess invisible and invincible carriers.
