Make sure there are no files in your "userlib" directory.    .....\AHedit\userlib

If there is remove them and see if that fixes it.
If all the other editors are working for you under Win7 the the Object Editor should as well.

Went through this checklist just now midi everything is there the object editor will instantly freeze up with a object editor has stopped working. The other 2 programs will 'eventually' work until you go to actually do anything then it will lock up.

The odd time I will go back with new updates and try this stuff again, I can tell you that the object editor has never ever worked for me thats with vista and windows 7.

MrMidi I think when Oak is saying you should make it user friendly what he means is it should actually work, not how it is laid out. The other editors even the film viewer sometimes although to a lesser extent you get the feeling they are all teetering on the edge of locking up when you use them.

ok, next episode in the saga. i reloaded aces high on a D: drive by itself. object editor will come up one time and one time only. when it does come up, there is nothing listed in shapes. i dont know if this matters or not. it also does it on my windows7 machine at work too. yes im running windows7 -32 bit. also made sure none of them were "read only".

OK have you run the fix that adds the object shapes for the object editor.

Also  You do NOT have to reinstall the editors AND the GAME  they are independent of each other. You can build a terrain without having the game installed.

installed it on a different machine. dell dimension 4500 pentium4 3.0, 2gigs of ram, 320 gig harddrive. windows7. did not work.

reinstalled windows XP on same machine. all set now. works on XP machine.  just kind of a drag to have to use 2 different machines.
