MS-406
D-520
Beaufighter
IAR 80/81

Early/midwar fighters? always get my vote +1

Don't care for which country or politics (i.e how many people) - frankly finger pointing which country "deserves" a slot is rather childish.

Not sure about the PZL P.11 - Fiat CR.42 Falco and Gladiator served in far more theaters then PZL P.11 or any other Polish aircraft.

With Gladiator and Falco you can have a Greek Campaign or North Africa both were vital to WW2, throw in limited 109s and Hurricanes and you have an interesting match up.

Yes they did that's not the point :)

If I was French would I join to fly a British plane probable not

Then you'd be wrong. French planes are more difficult to master because of all the reverse gears :bolt:

The Chinese flew a lot of I-16s as well, so they kinda have a plane in game now.

And the French flew the Hawk 75 as well ....quite a few attained ace status.

If they want to run to their ack or friendlies that's fine.  It's up to me to catch them and not get killed in the process if I can.

   A. MS-406
   B. D-520
   C. B-693

Unless the french planes come with guns the shoot out little white flags, I doubt they'll join.

Heck, the Beaufighters served almost from start to end and participated in all theaters of operations. The other plans are ****.

So did the Fins
(Image removed from quote.)

It flew just a few hours before it was retired entirely. It didn't see any combat with the Finnish Air Force.

A few months back there was a thread about how to handle 2-week pass players in an attempt to keep more of them in the fold. Sadly, about the only thing I have seen come out of this is when players drop the 'alt-f4' trick veteran players quickly correct them. No use hazing those not in the fold yet.

This idea has an interesting angle. I doubt High Tech has a massive marketing budget though we on this list could easily gorilla market this. Imagine if we did have the French D.520. Could we gorilla market via Facebook, etc to French gamers about flying this bird? With the Poles, they flew Hurris and Spits. Is there a gorilla campaign to be had recruiting for a historical Polish squadron or wing? Do we have the ability to recruit in Japan for Japanese flyers? Would there be an appeal for Flying Tigers among the people of Taiwan/Formosa? What about recruiting in South Africa or New Zealand for respective squads that flew with the RAF? I've thought about drumming up a volunteer group (not a new squad) among Tennessee's many volunteers. Maybe a surge among us red-neck, southern folk.

Who knows but there might be an angle here....

Or not.

There is a real desire among many of us to build this community in various ways. Is there something to be done?

Boo

I think you mean guerrilla marketing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerrilla_marketing).  Gorillas are those large furry black creatures.
