They're all very great bands. Most of them listed are Power Metal. I would highly recommend giving Avantasia a listen too out of all these bands as it's more than a normal band. Tobias Sammet has guest vocalists on just about every song and his song writing is just brilliant.

you want good hard metal, with a great singer try Flotsam and Jetsam...makes those guys look like little kids playing at music.

sorry but that guy is a horrible singer...just not quite as bad a lenny.
don't get me wrong I like the old Metallica quite a bit...but not for James' singing.
same with Megadeth one of my favorite bands....but a "singer" Dave is not.
none of those guys are remotely in the class Of Jeff Tate
except the singer for Flotsam and jetsam...that guy can sing.
if you have never heard of Flotsam and Jetsam and you like fast hard thrash metal...they blow metallica and megadeth away.
