Memorial Stone

Maybe its not a nice idea.
But as i was driving around in our Town i saw our lidel church and i start thinking about getting some memorial stones around this church.

on this stones it would be nice to put the names of all these old AH members who passed away during they were active AH members.
with this stones we will keep the memory of these peoples alive and give them a fixed place in the Aces High world.

out of my point of view, if i will pass away some day, i think i would like it to get may name on a stone in our nice town.

Hiya Chris.

Great and thoughtful idea.

I would suggest contacting a member of the 11th... "Dichotomy" on the bbs.  I know he has a current and complete list of those AH'ers who have passed into the high blue.

A hearty Salute for a worthwhile endeavor.

Anything, within reason, to remember those we've lost. <S>
Not sure since I know nothing about it, but would the families need to be contacted for any reason with this idea?

I like the idea.  Only thing I would worry about would be the sick minded individuals that would fake a death and create a shade just to get their name in there somewhere.  Other than that I really like it!

What about a stone with writing on it that says something like "dedicated to all of those who have flown these skies, and have now passed on"... or something like that.  Leave out the names if anyone thinks there will be issues.  Just a simple dedication.

Great idea by the way... one of the best I have seen here Chris.  :salute

I definitely think there needs to be some form of dedication to the players that we have lost somewhere in the game.  The Memorial Stone is a great idea.

i think we can save us for problems, if the names were given us by the squadmates, famili and if its profed by HTC we will be relativly save.
i think if we get a stone we should put the names (call sights) its more personal and if you read the names you have something to remember, sure thats mostly only for longtimers which can remember alot of people in the last years.

Maybe renaming bases on our maps would be nice :old:

Upping from A1 could be replaced by someones name would be nice :old:

Big fight over "Name" would good to remember those passed :old:

They named fields after players in Air Warrior.  In another game, EverQuest, they'd often create NPCs for players that passed away.

I like the original idea.  Perhaps a memorial stone that has names written on it, or a cemetary with plain headstones (ie: no Crosses or Star of David).

Make it indestructible.
