lol do i seem like im joking?    i thought the game was "epic" junk.   so, would i be safe to assume the rest were equally crappy?   i think so.   as far as flawless!?!   LMAO that has to the joke.   i get it  :lol  :aok       allow me to reiterate.    halo has and always will be t3h suck  :aok

Alright, we are all entitled to our own opinions but why was it junk?  You can't say it is crap for no reason.

IMO any game where it takes 50 bullets to kill someone is t3h suck.   all that game (and CoD for that matter) was was a bunch of ppl hopping around to avoid being shot (because that takes so much skill  ).   so, IMO, it sucked, bad.    the best FPS in my opinion was still Bond, with the setting to one shot kills. (can't remember what that was called  :headscratch:     golden gun maybe?)

:aok       not my cup o tea.     to each their own.    glad you enjoy it.

lol my first time ever playing Halo on Xbox live I went 20 something and 3 on Halo Reach. That's where people who fail at CoD and Battlefield go.  :neener:

I read that the main reason that Hollywood hasn't gotten in on the act is that in the games the Master Chief is never seen out of his helmet and suit. They say while this is great for video games, it doesn't work very well with movies. I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal to have an actor depict both in and out of the armor. Just look at how successful Iron Man was, seems like pretty much the same thing.
"Lord, let us feel pity for Private Jenkins, and sorrow for ourselves, and all the angel warriors that fall. Let us fear death, but let it not live within us. Protect us, O Lord, and be merciful unto us. Amen"-from FALLEN ANGELS by Walter Dean Myers

Infinity ward is no longer in control of Call of duty after that fiasco with Activision back in 09. Now its simply tryarch and whoever makes the warhammer games.

That is incorrect. Go to the Modern Warfare 3 website and look at the bottom of the page

The founders of IW and a chunk of their staff left the company and Activision to start Respawn Entertainment. IW still exists and is still involved with CoD.

On topic: I used to be the kind of Halo fan that would preorder the game as soon as it was announced, but that was when it was Bungie's game. 343 definitely seems like a dedicated staff that takes the Halo story very seriously, but 343 has no portfolio other than comics, books, and animated shorts. When Microsoft starts stepping up the hype and 343 demonstrates that they're making a solid game, I might get suckered into buying day one, but as of now I'm just waiting.

But I'm more interested in what Bungie's up to than what's going to happen with Halo.

If Barney the big purple dinosaur from the kids show was replaced by Ernie the tiny green snot bubble, is it still Barney?

Infinity Ward is just a name now. All the key minds behind the original game up until Modern Warfare 1 are all gone.

oh, well, let me refrase. what i said.

The TRUE Infinity ward no longer has control of the call of duty franchise. Now its just all the unimportant people that got left behind from the original, along with Treyarch.
MW3 will fail for one big reason, they have treyarch behind the wheel. Laziest devs ive ever seen when it comes to fixing bugs.glitches/etc.
Even if the true IW was around, it wouldnt matter, COD died after 3. 4 was the breaking point.

On another note, I read the Head Devs devs joined EA to create the team "Martyrdom"

I never said otherwise.

I really wonder if MW3 is going to be the end of the whole Modern Warfare storyline.
I'm not wasting money on MW3, if anything, I'll either brow it from a friend or download a torrent to see the storyline. Then it's off to the recycle bin.

Back on topic: Halo 3 was always fun to play with a couple of friends. I'm not a console person but pretty much all my friends are, and anytime I hang with them, it's either Halo or Gears of War. It's a nice break from more realistic shooters. Jumping 20ft in the air and blasting a guy on the way down is amusing to watch. :)

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.
