A better WWII arena with one thing or another fixed or improved ;)

Oh, and in my dreams a fully fleshed out WWI arena with a great variety of missions, targets and battles.

A complete set of new maps would work.

That says more about the players who just won't up anything but a late war speedster and don't have the patience to fly further than a single sortie or GV from a spawn point only 3 miles from the enemy base.

well i think, that was more a personal decission. If you read about Wild Bill/WB, and how things went wrong, its easy to understand that HT started his own business. Much more successfull tahn WB overall

Yup.  And that's who seems to be playing the game these days.  Their cunning plan to build the game based on what the majority appear to like seems to have paid off...

If you change "majority" to "most vocal on the boards", while being very similar would be closer to the truth.

I don't think that's true.  Looking at the boards, that would mean we would have:

1) An RPS in the AvA.
2) No icons in the AvA.
3) Many, MANY new maps.
4) Strats that debilitate the other side.
5) PBYs and the ability to do SAR missions.
6) Repairs on the rearm pad.
7) Many, many graphical eye candy things.

and a legion of other stuff.

Now, I realize some people are more gruntled than others, but on the whole I think they've made decent choices to keep most people playing.

My bad, I should have been more specific.  I was referring specifically about WB, the rolling plane set and other ideas implemented there over the years seemly at a whim.  I agree and am happy that HTC doesn't play the popularity game and actually thinks about consequences before they add or change something.   :salute

Ah!  Yes.  WBs was a completely different kettle of fish.  Apologies for the confusion.  Agreed on all counts. :salute

I may not always agree with their choices, but it's reassuring to see thought going into the changes they implement/don't implement.

How about something like the old Titanic Tuesdays, but set up as a two-sided axis and Allies arena. So basically one day a week we shut down the other arenas, and fight, let's say  we fight, "The Battle of Britain". Or any other of the many possibilities.

At the end each month along with the other arenas top scorers, HTC also displays what side won and who was the top guns in the axis and Allies arena also.

In other words, a scenario enforced (shutting down all alternative places) on all players, but without als the rules and setup tweaks which do balance such an event and make it possible in the first place. ;)
