+1/-1 button?
« on: November 02, 2011, 05:55:53 PM »
We should have a +1/-1 button for forum topics so at a glance, the higher ups can see what wish/suggestion/request is most popular at the time, therefore allowing them to easily decide what should be added or improved next.

Add onto it if you want.   :salute  :D
If your gonna fail, do it in such a way that people will be wondering how you managed to do that.

If it cant be fixed with duct tape, it cant be fixed at all.

Sounds like a good idea. Would be a nice feature if we could also +1/-1 individual post too.
So I'll give this wish a +1.  :aok

i like the idea but the problem is there are ppl who would click -1 because its a bomber and they want a fighter and vise versa not to mention alot of good ideas could be rolled over(such as a new strat system) because ppl would rather more planes

that's pretty much the point of the +1/-1 buttons, to get feedback from the community. whether its negative or positive, But i DO see where your coming from and i believe IF this ever gets implemented the HTC team will figure out an effective system and what not.

Doesn't matter if there are a lot of "-1's" administered, it's still all relative. The thread with the least amount of "-1's" would be the top thread in that case.

What is this, Facebook?

Make them post their opinions.

-1 on the +1/-1 suggestion.

Um..   I'm not sure how facebook got involved here, but it is completely irrelevant to my idea, in fact seeing all the "+1's" all over the place inspired it. i thought maybe things would look a bit cleaner if we had a button at the top so people can anonymously vote on something, but.. oh well its your opinion and your entitled to it so i wont argue.  ;)

Or we can just get the ability to make polls. This way you can have a clear +1/-1 number without reading though the whole thing, would help with ~10 page topics.

The reason why I said it is because this feature already exists on the forum, it's just disabled. It would be a lot easier to add.

+1 BTW

The 2nd line is incorrect.

I wouldn't know either way. I'm a musician, not a mathematician.

    * Step 1: -1/1 = 1/-1

    * Step 2: Taking the square root of both sides:

    * Step 3: Simplifying:
    * Step 4: In other words, i/1 = 1/i.

    * Step 5: Therefore, i / 2 = 1 / (2i),

    * Step 6: i/2 + 3/(2i) = 1/(2i) + 3/(2i),

    * Step 7: i (i/2 + 3/(2i) ) = i ( 1/(2i) + 3/(2i) ),

    * Step 8:

    * Step 9: (-1)/2 + 3/2 = 1/2 + 3/2,

    * Step 10: and this shows that 1=2.
