you're kidding right?

I do believe that they will try to help you, but in their own way. For example if it's a school counselor and you tell him that your doing drugs and trying to quit they'll call the cops as soon as you leave.
Their allegiance is not to you, and if you make a mistake thinking otherwise your going to be really screwed.

Often friends can't give the best advice, because they are too close. If you are in trouble, a more distant point of view can be much more helpful at times.  :old:

Agreed about friends, but I would still not trust anyone that's "more distant". So sometimes it's best to just solve your own problems.

Bottom line is listen to all that offer help but think things out and make your own choice.

Take into consideration what may happen, good or bad, when you chose a path and then consider what action you'd take if those things happen. Think things all the way out.

I'm beside myself.  Someone asks for help and some turn it into their own little soap box of who and who not to trust.  If it's help he seeks, then help, otherwise shut the hell up and don't post.  Contact me if you need it bud.  If you have the help you need, I hope it works for you and you can move on from whatever it is.

He stated he had told 2. So I take it he has found the help.

Or he has at least tried, but maybe they were the wrong people, and didn't take him seriously. Just a thought.

Canacka? :salute I fully agree-- if you don't have anything nice to say, keep your mouth closed; or rather, your fingers away from the keyboard.

That was help.

If anyone has a problem with the type of help than either don't ask for it or ignore the help you don't like.

1)  if it's a chick..and you are not going to marry her.......they like bad boys.  stop being so nice. she'll dig you more if you are a prik.

2)  if it's a job...tell them to shove it...look for something that you dig..so it doesn't feel like work.  you've eventually excel at it too.

3)  if it's the closet.....don't sweat it.  ... it's not behavioral .....you were born like that...and it's time you tell the world.  two pops and a snap!  not that there's anything wrong with that.
