Okay...what if nuclear weapons get into the wrong hands? or our current stealth technology?
If we would be thinking that way than than the most modern weapon would still be a rock.
I remember watching a Documentary once about the f22 raptor...
It stated the raptor was the most advanced fighter jet in the world. but it had come before its time. And the U.S could not afford to mass produce them, because its so ahead of the time.
But, the U.S has to produce them now anyways. Because by introducing the F22,we've raised the bar in air supperiority, and now all other competing countries are now trying to reach that bar.
So in order to stay on top, we have to keep pouring money into the f22 program and advancing it. As expensive as it is, Otherwise we run the threat of running below our competitors.
Thats sorta how i see invisibility. I think it is way before its time. Imagine if, like the f22 raptor, the U.S Military put in production some sort of complete invisibility project.
We created the worlds most advanced Invisibility field. we're the envy of every other country.
But, much like the F22, we realize to continue to support such a program, will cost just way to much for us to handle right now. So we plan to cancel the program (or atleast put it on hold).
Just as we go to do this, another country suddenly announces their doing invisibility research, and they too are close to a breakthrough.
Now,because we introduced the technology to the world and shown it that it is possable to build, other countries are attempting it.
Meaning, if we wish to continue to stay on top, we have to pour more, and more money into the invisibility program.
To advance it above our competitors, even tho it will most likely bleed us dry.
Thats what i think about it tho, I just think invisibility is way ahead of its time, and could become a nuisense fast.
