Some people are making the mistake that the V-1 was inherently inaccurate when that wasn't entirely correct. Yes, it was inaccurate but not to the point some describe in this thread. It wasn't due to its inaccuracy that caused it to miss large portions of London, that was actually the result of XX Command (British Double Cross program) that was sending false BDA reports from "German agents" in London back to Berlin. This caused the Germans to adjust the gyroscopes on the V-1s, thinking they were on target and this caused a large number of V-1s to hit less dense areas of London or outside of London. If the British hadn't turned the entire German spy network in England and falsified the BDA reports, the V-1s would have caused more damage and a higher loss of life.
