parachutes
« on: November 13, 2011, 12:07:42 PM »
i bet no one has asked about parachute failures..imagine if your going to bail out over your own town so u can run into your map room to protect it and your chute don't open oh krap splat screen goes red like when u get pilot wounded.only youre dead.i think that would be funny as hel.htc could figrue implament 5 random failures per country per map or something like that.you know yore plane gets all shot up qand u bail only to have your chute not open..that would be kool.--but personlly go down with my ship 99.99% of the the time.

:rofl

How about English now, please..?

I like the idea, though. I also like the idea of being able to be shot when in chute mode.

i doubt random failure of anything is going to be introduced...even for chutes.

other than that, are you using a cell phone to post or something? things are going to be the demise of written language, may as well go back to using hieroglyphs.

If you want to see chute failures then shoot at bailed pilots before they reach the ground.

I dont really see the point of a chute failures.  You can tower out after bailing without opening the chute anyways....

I think HTC already has some "random" chute failures modeled in for the troops (drunks) at least.

There I was, involved in a squad air mission to take a port a long time ago.  The enemy was putting up a lot of resistance.  We where able to get the upper hand but would not be able to hold it for long.  We were out of bombs and low on ammo.  They were running reinforcements from the spawn point and their vehicle hanger would pop back up any minute.  It was one of those nail-biters that is beyond most furballers' ability to comprehend.  Finally our goon arrives.  He putts the goon on its left wingtip as he is dropping troops and then pulls into a tight turn to keep the troops close to the map room.  The seventh or eighth drunk fell through the prop blast.  He started to get a full chute but it then collapsed and he streamered to the ground.  He actually hit the ground before the first troop landed.  The drunk immediately before and after landed safely.  Needless to say, the capture was a bust.

So either it is just ghosts in the machine or they have something going on already.

bail out of your shot up A/C at less than 1000 ft. and your chute wont deploy fast enough to save you.    I.E. splat on the ground and to the tower you go.
