Bombers Causing Crashes
« on: December 13, 2011, 03:47:38 AM »
Both Zack and I are having problems with Aces High crashing whenever we get too close to certain kinds of bombers. With Zack it is Lancasters that give him the white screen of death. With me it is B-26s, as soon as I get within 1000 yards my screen goes black and eventually the "Aces High has experienced a problem and needs to be shut down" message appears.

I have custom sound packs, Zack standard I think. Obviously very different computers.

I was thinking that it was a skin issue, that when you get within a certain range and the game tries to load a particular skin and it's either corrupted or what not, then the game generates an unhandled exception.

Can anyone offer assistance?

Thanks in advance,

The GFC.

we had reported game crashes whilst in a bomber and losing a drone/changing gunner position.

I can't say I have had any instances on my machine when I've been attacking them.   Except watching the remaining two trip out and disco.  (if you had hit both you would get the kills) knowing that the poor chap had suffered the crash.

You can test if it's a skin issue by disabling other player's skins and see if your game still crashes. You can also try deleting the skins files for the plane that seems to be causing you troubles.
