If I had to do it for youtube, I'd call it; AcesHigh - A Three Way War.

Having the action follow 3 protagonists on each side in their quest to help thier chess piece.
The knight - An outnumbered but highly skilled pilot. Flying German Iron
The Rook - An average skilled alt monkey. Flying American Metal.
The Bish - A below average skilled pilot with Lots of friends. Flying Russian Rust.

I just started watching the "Caprica" series on Netflix.  There is one episode where a guy and girl (I won't go into details as not to spoil the plot) meet up in a realistic "virtual world" for a date.  Basically they have these glasses they put on that interfaces with their brains to make them think they really are there!

Anyway the date which was selected by the guy was "Flight Simulator" and once they turned on their gear they were in the cockpit of a Viper (futuristic Fighter type plane thing) in a simulated combat situation.  Needless to say the girl did not know how to fly so she ended up hitting him and having to eject but it was still pretty cool.

A movie about a similar thing happens in the future with a WWII game like Aces High would be pretty cool!  Maybe a situation where the character gets trapped in the virtual world and as a result can't die (whereas all of his enemies and squadmates could die with no ill effects) could make for a pretty decent storyline!

I've been informed through my "agent" that I have won a part in the upcoming feature film.

I will be playing the part of the company clerk who failed out of flight school because of a fear of heights! My character name will be "TYPO"

Umm yeah, this book was written a while ago.  its called "Enders game".

You know, a book............with pages........................ ................made out of dead trees.

The author is Orson Scott Card.  It is very good.
