no you want the 2500k not the 2500 as the K is the one that will overclock.  also if I may suggest to go to best buy and get the monitor any problems such as you dont like the image you can return it easily and prices are not really that different.  I strongly suggest a little more power on the ps.

It has pci 3.0slots as well. It does NOT have bluetooth capabilities however so if that is something you will actually use this board may not be for you. This is the P67 chipset which is really all you need as the z68 has onboard video but you wont be using due to having a dedicated video card. Also the z68 is capable of using an ssd hard drive as cache which I have yet to see anyone do as SSDs are still expensive. That is pretty much the only difference. The p67 chip will overclock that cpu just fine as well. Both Lawndart and I have this Mobo and I have no complaints what so ever. It will save you $55 on features you wont use anyway. If you do use bluetooth you can buy a usb adaptor for about $12.

My rig is similar to your last update. I have the Deluxe model of that board and love it. I've always had good luck with Asus mobos. Went with 2600-K processor. Glad to see you upgraded to the 64-bit OS. I have the same RAM. I went with the 1000w modular Gold Series OCZ PSU. A bit large for my app but I was thinking of future expansion. The PSU won't draw a full 1000w at all times it just has the capacity to deliver it if needed. I do run 3 standard HDDs, a pair of SSD's (one I have as cache drive in ISRT), an external drive and a ton of fans in my cm690-II advanced case. I went with a single MSI R6950 video card but that's a potato potahto thing. I found my rig insofar as AH goes to be like killing a fly with a bazooka. Don't need HP like this unless you're running other games or apps that require it.

hey I do care, I've learned that overclocking is being able push past the stated 3.3 ghz right? It's a learning process and I'm glad we have people here sharing knowledge I appreciate it.  It's my first build and I'm excited about it, might be a new hobby

he may not know but he's willing to learn.  that's why he posted here.  2 years ago i coudnt tell you if my intel computer had an amd or not. and to be honest i thought amd was the lower price intels  .  but regardless for 20 more bucks he gets a better processor.

You probably can find everything you have selected even cheaper ( it will take you a few more hours researching/price comparing ), although you will be having your parts not all coming from the same place..............  but in any case, since you are going to be ordering online, I would recommend you wait and see if any / all your components prices drop on "Cyber Monday" , first of the week.......  it's considered the same as black friday for the department/electronics stores etc.......
