I'm in the "almost never killed or damaged by AI puffy ack" category.

Seems it's almost 99% manned puffy that gets me.

This reminds me of all the "HO-collision/I get killed, he flies away" threads.

You are getting shot down by a person.

If it would be true, he would get a kill and i would get a "you have been killed by a manawar" message. Also no manawar can shoot you down from 5-6-7 miles away.
Anyway, if you dont get killed, good for you, have good luck!

I don't get shot dead out of the sky often by the puffy ack, but semi regularly I get oil leaked, rad leaked, or brainz leaked, all of which are almost as bad, as I usually just bail out because my sortie is fubar'd.

Rad leaks depends what plane your in for example its a fact that around 8 out of 10 of my deaths are caused by a radiator hit in the 190d-9. It may as well just kill you and save the irritation your dead anyway, you have around 2 minutes before your engine quits. Go fly a P51-D for a while a radiator hit is a very rare event same with the tempest despite having more prominent radiators, you can sail through ack especially in the P51-D all day long if you wish your more likely to get an oil hit than a rad hit.

Good for you, this isn't where I have been killed by 5 inch gun sadly.

I have fun milking the radiator home, and the Dora is particularly good at it.  You have about 2 minutes (like you said) to get out of the engagement and haul balls towards your landing pad.  Watch your heat...  as it approaches redline and quits, turn your engine off and hit your minus key on the numeric keypad (hold it down).  You'll then start gliding very nicely, your temperature will start falling, and your engine still works.  Keep in a 1500 fpm dive, and cycle engine back on for occasional boosts, and you're golden.

I have to whine here, why is it when I fly through puffy ack in a 262 at 22k - 1 puff sets me on fire (while doing 550mph) however everyone else flies through it without any problems at all, the game is broken, squeak/whine/complain.

I blew through more fighter perks because of puffy ack then most spend in a tour, sure I would think it could be "improved" or fixed, but
why whine about it? Go sink the carrier.

I stopped giving a darn about flipping on hills/trees - i dont even bother asking for supplies unless its an emergency (Tiger 2 etc).

Just think - begging for 30 minutes for supplies, rather then ditch and lose 10 perks, to come back and gain 20 more in 20 minutes, seems fair.

I don't have fun doing this although I know how, cannot do the revs now bcause I play on laptop, the problem is the the small hoarde of sprayers catch up to me when I turn my engine off  :D

When you factor in things like pilot wounds, rad hits, oil hits and puffy ack the sensible thing to do would be avoid combat but thats the whole point of the game isn't it?

I think I've been taken down by puffy ack once in the last 100 hours of time in game. I don't see what the big problem is.

Do you fly this game or always in gvs?

Which htc hall of justice are you again?  8)

Was keeping far out from an incoming CV, remaining under 3k.  Along comes someone looking for a fight and I get a puffy ack pilot wound 9 seconds after breaking the 3k barrier.  Actually got hit at 2.8k.  Conveniently blacking out just as fast, contributing to my quick demise.  No gunners were listed in the film viewer and I was about 6.0k or more from the CV.  Short film posted explains everything you need to know about puffy ack.

Please no critiques on my merging or anything else of that nature.  I know it's not exactly uber.  :o
