He-177 had a bombload same as that of a b17...right? What makes a heavy a heavy?

Light=A20
Medium=B26
Heavy=B17

I think that is the way it is, am I wrong?

On a separate note, krusty and saxman, I award you both a lump of coal.

On the optics... yeah I know, but if I can create a custom gunsite for killing GVs with AT rockets, why must my t34 optics be low quality for "realism"? This one specifically gets me ased up.  Pop or get off the pot is what I say.  Abound realism or cave a bit on some things.

Dear HiTech...

I've been a good crab this year... Please stuff these wishes into my stocking this year...

  • Manual Transmission In Tanks Again
  • New Report System So That You Can Write In Detail WHY You Reported A Person In-Game
  • The Ability To Drive Through Trees "Make Trees Only Decoration And Camoflage, Not Flip 20 Ton Tanks Over"
  • Yak-3
  • Beaufighter
  • Meteor
  • Ability To Make Your Own .Dot Commands "Like a macro"
  • New Maps...
  • The New Version Of The Offline Mission Editor "I Know Its Fixed :D"
  • Perks For Flying In WWI - "Might make it popular - sure it'll attract nothing but perk farmers - but its better than the 2-3 that are in there on average"
  • A Drone Sasquatch To Hunt Spawn Campers

I have more... but brain-farting... again...

  • Manual Transmission In Tanks Again
  :aok
  • New Report System So That You Can Write In Detail WHY You Reported A Person In-Game
  No. I beleive they already have a way to see what went on on their own (if memory serves correct)
  • The Ability To Drive Through Trees "Make Trees Only Decoration And Camoflage, Not Flip 20 Ton Tanks Over"
Kinda. Larger Trees should stop tanks. But not flip them over outright. smaller trees should be able to be knocked down.
  • Yak-3
  :aok
  • Beaufighter
  Eh..why not
  • Meteor
No. Were insignificant in the war Saw no real action cept in shooting down buzz bombs. If allowed should only be available in bases the farthest back such as next to HQ
  • Ability To Make Your Own .Dot Commands "Like a macro"
Much as I loved macros in AW. HT says it simply taxes the sytem too much. or something to that effect
  • New Maps...
  :aok But you have to design your own. Most MA maps are player designed. Would love to myself, but the currect strat system doesnt support what I have in mind
  • The New Version Of The Offline Mission Editor "I Know Its Fixed :D"
  • Perks For Flying In WWI - "Might make it popular - sure it'll attract nothing but perk farmers - but its better than the 2-3 that are in there on average"
Gonna need alot more then perks to cure WWI ills. Just not enough there to keep it interesting. Even with perks I suggest some sort of story line complete with missions. Something along the lines of what they were thinking for their Tour of Duty version of AH
  • A Drone Sasquatch To Hunt Spawn Campers
Spawns need to be redone outright to hinder camping. Lamest part of the game IMO
[/list]

I say no to unperking C hog.  I do say yes to lowering it's perk price a little?  Still wouldn't change the times I up one, which is 0-1 a tour. :lol

CHogs perk price is low enough. If you cant afford a CHog at its current pricing. You arent good enough to fly one anyway LOL

My only wish ( I watched Alladin  :lol ) is for a time machine so I can go 4 years into the future and enjoy all the cool things that HTC has already implemented.   :salute

I got the idea from this thread from a 2007 Christmas wishlist.  Look how many wishes have been granted.  Impressive  :aok

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,220176.45.html

Also, I found a thread where Dale was commenting on how it looses the immersion for him, flying in his cartoon creation, because he sometimes finds things that he would like to change.

Dale and HTC staff  :cheers: Happy Holidays, and thanks for being good all year.  I am certain that each and everyone one of us making a request (including my numerous hair brain schemes) have done so out of a love for something that you had the vision to create in the first place.

Now Dale go and spend some more time with that beautiful wife and adorable chubby cheek future aviator of a daughter.  Same to rest of all of you AH2 gamers, and enjoy your break from Chilli... (I have a feeling he may be back in January with pedals).

My wish. An improvement ont he strat system more in line with what I've proposed elsewhere (not enough time to retype it all and too lazy to look for it)
But basically have strat targets tied to bases.
And some kind of return to the zone system.

Nope. Technically speaking the Ju-88 had the same bombload as a B-17. That doesn't make the Ju88 a heavy, does it? The intent and the role of the bomber was that of medium. The Germans never had a heavy bomber fleet. It wasn't part of their overall doctrine or their war planning mentality.

Thus, wanting a "heavy" German bomber means you wanted nothing! They didn't have them!   :t   :devil

Of course Germany never needed a true heavy bomber outside of the USSR. It would have been a waste of resources on every other front, and so they didn't build them.

They sure could have used them in 1940.

Honestly, the German position on heavy bombers was not that well thought out.  Part of it was simply that having 5000 bombers in inventory looks better than having 3,000 bombers in inventory.
