Old Skool Movies
« on: December 02, 2011, 02:50:03 PM »
I may get Skuzzy-pwnd for putting this in the main discussion, but I wanted to get the most attention out of it.  I just got back to the game after about 3 years off and besides being absolutely horrific at it (even worse than when I quit if you can believe it), I was remembering some good movies that folks had taken back in the day.  I found some threads with them in it on the BBS, but all the links are dead.

I was curious if anyone still had a copy of Wetrat against NathBDP in 109s or Leviathn in his spit 5 called (Stuck in the middle)?  There was another one that was by Wetrat called "Lobbin taters" that was cool...

If anyone has a copy of these, or newer ones that you think are good, could you shoot me a link?  Trying to get back into the mood to play more and some of these films would help.

Thanks!  -- Howie   :aok

There was a link to some films a short while ago in the training section searched for it but link is now dead, I did however find the file in my downloads so uploaded it. Its a zip file with 7 or 8 films in it.

good film--but that music track is the one they should have the front of the game when you log on--it's a cool score

In response to the .AHF posted: That's pretty much useless now. What with the constant film viewer updates over the years, and how every update screwed the films from before that update, there's no chance it will play properly in the film viewer we have now. Best bet is already-edited stuff like the youtube link. That doesn't need the film viewer to play.

I used the film viewer to look at a bunch of AHF files I made 5+ years ago, and they ran just fine.  The only hiccups came from maps that didn't match up, but that didn't impact the actual flying part of the films at all.

Lev,
The only film of yours that I can't get to play is, "This is a furball"
All of the rest play just fine.

Edit:

Just tried it again & it does play. Guess the newest version of the film viewer will play it.
No terrain though.
