Sorry, I haven't been feeling well lately and have been slacking off.

A new version will be coming out pretty soon.  New planes in this version will be the P-38L, Spitfire V, and Macchi C.202.  The 202 might get delayed as I've been having a few problems with it.  There's been some bug fixes, HT wrote an auto take-off function for newbies and some other minor features that I can't think of.

Superfly finished the M-16 and went to work on a Typhoon Ib to complement the ground vehicles.  I think he finished the external shape today.  As soon as Natedog finishes the P-38, he's going to make a tank- probably a late model Panzer IV.

We've also been working on a system for down the road that will let us introduce some of the really exceptional late-war planes without throwing the main arena play balance out of whack or being real restrictive.

I'm starting a design for our first test scenario.  It'll be fairly simple but should be a lot of fun.  I also need to start on some weekly special events as well.

We're going to need to start a closed beta for the terrain editor soon.  I would like to wait one more version before doing that, but whenever the time comes, we'll put out the word for volunteers.

Sounds great pyro! Can't wait (But don't have a choice ;-) Glad to hear you're feeling better. One question though, I would like to be able to import some terrain I already created. I made it for my squad website. You can see a good aerial shot of it in the postcard on the opening page, or go to the doghouse and look at the aerial pic on the right wall. It's at www.devildogs.com
My question is, will we be able to import terrain? Or is this a terrain editor which only uses specific maps created in the AH generator or whatever you use? (I created the terrain at the website in Bryce, but rendered it in Raydream studio. I am going to redo that as soon as Terragen can import in 3DMax files). So I guess what I am really asking is what file types can the the terrain editor handle, as I would like to be able to fly over the airfield I created at the website =-). Thanks!!!

P.S.-Can't wait to wring out the 38! woohoo!

Thanks for the update Pyro. The Pigs are eagerly awaiting the P-38.

As for the tanks and M16, will they be able to cross the "mountains"?

I am becoming a customer soon now, I look forward to the possibilities any strat might bring.

Ruh Roh! Sure hope this ain't RPS.. but the exceptional late war planes part of this I like a LOT!

Thanks Pyro for the interim report!

You feeling down ?

But I really do see bright on the future of AH, no doubt about it

Easy answer for the "tanks across the mountains" thing- make the front line wherever the two nearest opposing fields are. Spawn tanks either from the captured field or the nearest captured city (better idea IMHO).
