tonight

i spent an hour or so in midwar, trying to defend a few bases from the knight horde. bong was there, and a couple of noobies. so essentially, bong was on his own, as i'm so talented, i'm kinda like a target drone.

 anyway.....it was pretty much the only fight in there. and each time was pretty much like getting gang raped.

 went into the ava....kinda by accident, 'cause i thought it was already jet week, with no icons. since i was there, and i saw what looked like a furball midway between 2 bases, i rolled a pee40. promptly died, so i rolled a pee39, as i'm slightly more familiar with them.

 in the 25 minutes in there, with short icons, there was more FUN fights, more teamwork, and more action, then the time spent in mw.


 that's all i gotta say. great fights, great pile-its. 

 well.....one more thing.......TURN THE DAM ICONS ALL THE WAY OFF. 

 

 you all know i couldn't put a post in here without complaining about icons.

I don't like it when MW gets too hordey~ be it bish or knight. Though it takes 3:1 bish to make things difficult at all Occasionally some good fights, though usually in the evening.

Dang, when I AvA there were D-11 jugs in twnrvr and nobody else around! I thought is wa going to be jetweek too and didn't even look.

Srry I missed y'all out too sea for a few more days, probably pass on 262s in AvA when I get back until we see F-86s and Mig 15s.

 i would say it was more me being bait and setting em up for you guys.......

 one of my filghts in the airacobra, i had a 109 lined up for the PERFECT shot, only 150 yards out.....squeeze the trigger, and i hear "pop" then nothing. that's when i called no ammo.
 otw back to base, i looked at the ammo counter, as i thought i hadn't fired that much...showed 143 rounds left. hit ctrl d, and saw i had only 1 gun left....and that one was empty. the other was damaged.

 the fact that there were only 11 people is irrelevant, as that map is small, and with such a map, there will be non-stop action, as long as there's people flying.

 a little off topic.....before i came in, i was flying a 38j in mw, for base defense. i noticed i'm getting a LOT more wing damage than i used to get. it seems if someone throws a rock, i lose half a wing.

 the problem in the mw arena, is there was a certain squadron rolling bases. since there were only 4 rooks on, they were rolling rook bases. 2 of the rooks were guys that could barley clear the base before they crashed, much less be helpful. then there was me.......i've flown so little in the recent months, i'd have trouble dogfighting a lancaster, much less 3-6 fighters. so essentially, bong40 was trying to defend, with me and 2 noobs for comic relief. hell.....i even went on squad text to try n lure some squaddies from lw to mw to help defend.......i know for fact if i could've gotten just 2 of em, the rolling would've been ended.
 since that was the only goal, i decided to give ava a shot again........and am glad i did.

I tried to get into AvA for the last 2-3 nights, but every time I get into there I find no action and only one guy sitting in tower.. I get there the following day and the same lonsome guy sits there still..?!? What's been going on? I hope AvA is not turning into a coffeeplace?!  
Good thing we have the jets coming over there tomorrow, that will wake the sleepers and scare them off to action hopefully..  

Guess I've been there too early, since I live in Norway there is about 6hrs of time difference from most of you guys..

 it may be the time difference saj. i logged in around 930 or 10pm eastern usa time. i had logged out of mw, disgusted with the multiple gang rapes, and noted that there were 11 showing in there. the fights were fast, and hard. i wish i could've stayed longer, but my age is catching up with me, and i need to try to be in bed by 11 anymore it seems.

 i had forgotten how challenging lack of icons makes it. and how much more you can get into a fight, when you actually have to look for the con. i'm gonna try to get in there for a bit tonight, and spread some more pee39 parts around.........

 well, to be honest, i saddled up a 109...i think it was blindguy, but not sure........the fight got really low, i had tagged him a few times, and he kinda sorta flew into the trees. as did i. about a tenth of a second behind him.    other than that, i got kilt a couple times, and raven and cuervo had full time jobs clearin the 109's off my arse.

sorry about tonight guys. i had to alt-f4 out, as the phone call i got was a good friend i haven't spoken to in a looooonnnngggg time.

 pollux......it's generally not very lopsided in this arena. what was happening, is that you and farmboy were flying the ultimate turnfighters, and we were flying the faster stuff. i think that tmetal was in a la5? i was in a peeeee39. i actually love that plane, as it's almost always underestimated.

 that one hit, i was climbing out looking for tmetal, to clear his six....saw you both down low, i pushed the nose over, as i hit hard right rudder to try and get guns on you, and through the beginning of the redout, i popped off a burst. i actually thought i missed, till i saw the telltale flash of the tater hit on your wing. i then proceeded to nearly fly into trees, but saved it.

 when you were saddled up on me before that, i knew i wasn't in a position to extend, or turn with ya, so i kinda banked on having a little more energy stored up than you did. tmetal saved my arse on that one, as you subtracted quite a few important parts from my plane. it was hard as hell, but i stayed int he fight, so as to not leave tmetal in a 2-1......then i ran outta gas, and misjudged my glide, FUBARING my plane very nicely. 
 basically, we were able to dictate those fights. last night, when there were guys in 109's, it was a lot more evenly matched. i hope you come back, as i think it'll grow on ya. kind of like a fungus. or a virus. 

 twas another fun night.

 waystin.....i had to wash my mistress in black before i could log in. she was filthy, as she hadn't been washed in 2 weeks, and tonight was a beautiful night. it was a little after 10 eastern when i got in.
