Yea Ford didn't do much with the ranger chassis for a long time, my old 97 explorer sport's dash is the same as my wifes 01 Ranger XLT.  I for one will miss them, had many in my years and always had good luck with them.  87 Ranger 4x4 STX with highrider package, 87 Bronco2 4x4, 97 Explorer Sport 4x4, and my wifes current 01 Ranger 4x4 xlt 4x4 offroad package.  All were excellent trucks for me, especially the 87 Ranger, that one survived my teen years and many nitrous experiments and basically taught me to like working on cars.

It makes me sad, but the writing was on the wall :salute
