Because of that list, I do think the P-51H may someday make it in.  It would be highly perked though.

Not likely, probably around a tempest, 5 eny with 50-60 or so perks, speed is its only asset, it would probably be under a tempest in the long run.

The H would be perked higher than a 262

The H would only be perked less than Chuck Norris

I'm not sure I understand.  Because it is on that list wouldnt that make it much more likely I would think.
being part of that tells us this:

It was obviously considered at one time
There is sufficient data to actually create it for AH

If the P51H makes it in, then I want a P38K.
It never saw combat either.

I know what some people will say; that there was only one (or was there two?)(AKAK or Widewing would know)   :old:

It was considered before HTC decided a criteria requirements before each plane got added into Aces High. Notice we have no 1946 planes in the line up?

P51H was not in operational service, nor did it see combat, I think if I can remember correctly some squadrons were building towards operational service for the invasion of Japan before the war ended, however the war ended and it never seen operational service.

When it comes down to a P51H vs Meteor vote, at least the Meteor might of been shot at (citation needed), however it was in operational service - it just never engaged an enemy plane and only did a very limited number of strafe runs.

If the meteor was added on the list to vote on, then anythings up in the air to be voted on.

Given the Meteor straffed and destroyed, IIRC, over 40 German aircraft it would be hard to believe it didn't get shot at.  Certainly shooting down V1s was dangerous that involved uncomfortable proximity to explosions.  I recall, though cannot find a citation for it, that there was a Meteor vs Fw190 engagement that resulted in no kills before some Spitfires showed up and chased the Meteors off.

Never happened, don't read wikipedia, the meteor never engaged - or was engaged, Brits strictly did not allow Meteors to fly over enemy lines for the reasoning if a plane crashed the Germans (more so the russians) might get ahold of it.

I didn't get that from wikipedia.  Wikipedia didn't exist when I first heard of that.

Is there any creditable source it made any ground attack runs?

Well, just to be a picky bastard....The 51-H was in squadron strength, in theater, and flying scouting missions IIRC.  It never encountered the enemy, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

So, *technically* it flew combat operations, but never saw the enemy.

However, that being said, not much would be gained by introducing it, as we are missing a TON of a/c that merit introduction a whole lot more.

Hell, the Claude should be introduced before the 51-H.

Loved the look of the thing, though.  More rakish, more aggressive.  Less pretty, more mean. :)
