Film veiwer problems
« on: December 22, 2011, 11:08:55 PM »
I have a very long film (1hr 52mins) that I'm trying to edit a short 1 minute part out of but everytime i try to save the clip it crashes the film veiwer. Is there anyway to go around this and use something else to save the film?

When you say crashes the film viewer, does it close or just stop responding?

So you find your start point, click Start Select. Play through to your end point, pause, click End Select. The click Copy select, name your film. Film viewer cycles the film to the end point.

What part does it become unresponsive at?

It stops responding while cycling through the film.

Of the glitches I've had when cropping films, I've not had a full blown crash. I have found that sometimes the film viewer appears not to have done anything and shows a film of 1 second length but the actually cropping has been done. When this happens using the file open button and reloading the cropped film usually works. It does this when the saving destination folder is not the same as the source folder for the original .ahf file.

If it's still an issue you can email me the film and I'll crop it for you. Just let me know from when to when. My email is under my icon to the left.

This topic would've been better placed in the Films and Screenshots forum.
