lol fine you try lugging around that on your back.
then when you get into a firefight load it, fire it, and run with it.

We already have that - its called a M-18 - dies just as easy as a trooper

if we get troops I'm thinking it would be f3 only, Not 3rd person. You would control a platoon or even a company, and comands would be taken out by mouse control. Auto ACK will not notice troops.

Would love to Take a Panzergrenadier Company, ride into the target on the back of the tanks, then jump off and Close Assault the town/base/whatever! MP40's and Panzerfaust, with the tanks rollin in behind us.. That would ROCK :rock

i say no go. this is a WW2 combat FLIGHT sim. yea tanks are a pretty awesome edition to the game, but i think having Infantrymen would just be too much.

On all US WW2 tanks to remove the M1919A4 bow gun and coax you pull 2 pins holding them to there mounts and pass them out. To remove the pintal mounted 50s you pull 2 pins and pass it down.
AWWWWW CRAP YOU SHOT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the desert somewhere west of Kuwait 1991.

??? I've seen some interest in massing troops for attacks and a recent request for allowing a pilot (ju88) to arm himself with a machine gun after a ditch or bail ... Got me thinking ... The Mechanism is in place for useing an individual pilot armed with a .45 ... Why NOT adapt it to a GRUNT (trooper) and assign him drone troopers (4 man? 6 man? Squad) armed with M-1s ... When killed, jump to the next grunt, just like we do with bomber formations. Spawn them from a barracks or into the town and allow them to defend the map room. Sound like FUN? It might be a BIG help in defending bases when heavily out numbered as attackers would then be forced to eliminate barracks and/or spawned squads of defenders. MAYBE ? they could have grenades to use against GVs ??? and a PRONE position (make em harder to hit) would be a good option too.
:x
i have always wanted AH to do something more in depth with the troops situation, now if only we had subs, this game would be the master of all fronts( air, ground(vehicle), ground(troops), ocean surface(lvt's, pt's, and carriers), and under the water(subs)),,,,,,, after that, all that would be left would be to add cold war ICBMs to master the space from as well.
