Been having connection issues these last few months. 

I'm not a particularly skilled pilot, but I've been learning and getting better.  It is already frustrating to deal with the high level of competition from the skilled players who so often send me earthward without my needed control surfaces (  and much respect guys ), but that's part of the game.  From it I've learned much better throttle control and gained a few helpful though rudimentary ACM skills and my SA has improved somewhat.  The next step would have been to seek proper training, but to be staring at my desktop when I should have been landing a few kills for a change is more than frustrating.  Add to that the fact that I pay for the privilege of getting my butt loaded with lead and it becomes infuriating and unacceptable to be subjected to dis-connect problems.   

This game has been around for some time now and I would have expected a much more stable experience considering improvements in general standards, as well as PC, networking, and internet hardware and software - not to mention the regular improvements and updates that are made to the AH software itself.  Maybe when AH III comes out....

Pretty sure you want tech support.
Have you run Pingplotter to see what the net looks like between you and the server?
A/V turned off?
Any auto-updates enabled?
and what the heck, let's see a Dxdiag report.

And, any time the game ends abnormally some game files can be corrupted.

There is nothing we can do to control the Internet.  If anything, the last couple of years, the Internet has become less stable due to saturation in many key areas.

However, you do have recourse.  In this thread, we attempt to address the most common connection issues and provide some methods on how to address them.

  You dont tell us what type of disconect your getting!  Are you loosing UDP,switching to TCP?

 Or is it a case of AH has stopped responding and you get a CTD{kicked to desktop}?

   I'm no expert like Skuzzy is but AH is fairly cpu intensive and if you run out of resources the game will quit responding. There seems to be 2 main causes,internet packet loss and/or you computer is overwhelmed for various reasons.

  So as Fuzeman stated a DXdiag would help,only need the top 1/3 or so,also a clearer discription of the type of disconect that your expereincing.
