Do you adjust opening and closing of ports?
"The current port range for all arenas in Aces High is 2000-7000, inclusive, for UDP and TCP.  Aces High will use a random subset of those ports for all online play."

Have you looked at this: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,68316.0.html

There is no local reason why you would lose UDP to one arena and not the others, unless the SEA had a ton of players in it and there is a really big, custom terrain installed.  Then it would be a matter of the amount of data your computer needed before the connection to the arena was completely made.

Pretty sure it was the KOTH terrain and there were less than 20 people in the arena. Would radar update rate being set very low, like 1 or 2, help this occur?

No.  There is no arena setting which should impact this.

Now be advised, I did assume that. We know what happens with assumptions and while I have no problem making myself look like an ass, I do not want Skuzzy to be one.

Jo did you have ANYTHING else running in the background at the time?

Lots of software, anti-virus, file sharing, anyone else on your wireless connection etc.   You might think it can do all of these things but when you fly AH you need all of that stuff switched off.   Plus you are hard wired into your router?

If this isn't the case then carry on with your troubleshooting.

I am pretty certain it is not related to the computer itself.  The loss of UDP is normally a network problem.  However, it could be related to the anti-virus as well.

Typically one should power cycle a router when things like this happen.  Consumer routers (all of them) do get flaky after they have been running for some time.
