1978 Star Wars Holiday Special

Anyone else seen it?  I tried to watch it as it has the original film cast but it was absolutely horrible.

The thing that just clicked in for me is...  I remember that thing being on TV.  I distinctly remember watching it in all its awful glory.  I was born in 76.  There is no way I remember it as well as I do from age 2.

This means that at some point, our local affiliate RE-RAN that thing!!!

Wikitruthia says it has never been aired aside from the original air date.  And that the original director was a friend of George Lucas and Lucas backed his decision to jump ship before they finished.
