There were no MiG-3s anywhere in that video.  Yak-7s and Ju88s only.

Pretty sure I saw a 109 get shot down

It is not too much that can be revealed about the gameplay. What I like is the planes from distance look bigger (more like a real planes, not dots/bugs). Winter terrain is pretty good. Yak-7 is modeled (which is a good choice for Stalingrad scenario). The yak cockpit artwork is not bad.
