Tim Tebow is the most famous White Bronco since OJ :rock
You dragged the dead horse into the yard and handed out the bats, sir.

I told myself I would never post a message on these boards again. Why would Flying Elk have a Avatar showing a Mule Deer not flying? OJ never played for the Bronco's.

God does not discriminate against colors. GO! TEBOW GO! Heinous murderer's might be discriminated against in some eyes, Not absolutely sure, just my guess.

Looking forward to a great game tomorrow!

OJ rode in the White Bronco.  Way to ruin the joke.  As an aside, taking the joke literally would result in John Elway, not OJ.

What I like about Tebow, is he hasn't asked for any of the attention.  Most athletes would be falling over themselves to get this kind of media coverage.  He doesn't seem to care, and at times seems a bit embarrassed by it all.  I'm not a big fan of wearing religion on your sleeve, but I'll give the kid credit.  It's genuine, not for show.   That I can respect.  It seems far more important to him to be a good human being then to  be famous.  How rare is that?

He seems to let it all slide off his back too.  Has he taken a shot back at anyone whose been critical or made fun of him?

I'll give him this much. He can take a joke better then most people. And better then alot of people have with this. And he keeps winning. So I guess he is having the last laugh.

People arent making fun of him because of his religion. I dont think anyone really cares if he is religious. What people make fun of is people who dont stop mentioning it every chance they get. I have an uncle who is a J Witness and spent alot of time around my house growing up. And while he has always been my favorite uncle and I love the guy to death. He just wouldnt shut up about it. Completely turned me off to organized religion..

Point is. After a while it becomes like someone who continually says "I like turtles." and has about as much meaning to people after a while.

I think the jokes are more meant as a fun way of saying "Dude, cool. But could ya tone it down a bit." None are really berating him for it

I could go on but this thread is already broaching a subject that has been requested not take place.

Mr. Tebow is lucky he is still alive and enjoying life. His Mother was advised to abandon him before birth. I'm not very religious, In fact, I haven't been to church in over 40 years.

Tim and his Mom have earned the right to tell us all to "Go to Denny's" they don't, they know the food stinks and would not wish that on anybody. (they use Kraft Mayonnaise on the Burgers)

I'll probably hate Tebow like I do my most hated Quarterbacks......Staubach, Unitas, Starr, Tittle, Montana, Tarkenton, But I respect them and him. He will never live up to the all time greats like Joe Namath or Jim McMahon, but most don't.

Football needs another Namath, or his polar opposite.

What ever happens this year in the Superbowl......... I hope the opposing team puts lots of pressure on Brady and feeds him some Turf!

You're kidding, right? I'll agree Tebow is no Namath. But just about every other starting QB in the league is better than Broadway Joe or Jim McMahon. I like both of them, but neither in their prime would be outstanding in today's NFL.

It would be like Babe Ruth batting against Cliff Lee.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Tebow isn't being made fun of for his religion, folks. He's being made fun of for doing what Christ said not to do. Christ said pray and do good deeds in secret...AND They will know you by your love. Public displays of "piety" are no more than self-aggrandizement, done for the public to see and say...ooooh! he's a good Christian! Keep your religion in church, and at home, and let everyone know you're a Christian by BEING a good Christian, not making a show of it.

I don't really care about that.  My problem with Tebow is that he got the starting job over a better QB (Kyle Orton) when he didn't deserve it by the way he performed to that point.  As it turned out, they started winning games, but there was no football justification in making the change at the time other than being desperate enough to throw things at the wall and hoping something stuck.

From what I understand, there was a lot of Denver business-politics in play with the decision to play him too.   It was about the revenue, not about the skill, and the pressure on playing him hit a boiling point that worked out positively for those involved.

He's a tremendous athelete, but a terrible thrower, and never seemed to have the game in control like the top QBs do.
