AH Stats of 2011 - Vol I: Pilots in Planes
« on: January 14, 2012, 12:46:56 PM »
Welcome to the fist part of my annual statfest.

Originally the "Top Pilots in" list was planned to be the final part of my stats presentation and would have been posted tomorrow. Unfortunately I have found a major systematic bug in the main part of my analysis which turned out to take quite some time to correct  :bhead so I could not stay within my announced schedule  :(

But I said there will be stats on Saturday, and stats you will get - So today I present to you the "Top Pilots 2011"  :salute

Of course "top pilot" is meant tongue-in-cheek - Just like other scores in game, it's primarily about statistics and not necessarily about skill ;)

As announced previously, I used a system working similar to the rank calculations done by HTC: For each plane/GV, I ranked all pilots first by number of kills, then by K/(d+1). Final ranking was determined by adding both rank numbers.
I will list the top three pilots for each plane/vehicle, and in addition I will also post the player with the most kills (and what percentage of the planes total kills he has). As additional information, the total kills for that ride are given as well as the global K/D.

If you find any error, if you think there is someone missing... don't hesitate to notify me, so I can check it and possibly correct a bug!

And here they are...

The main part of my analysis will follow... when it's finished. I should have fixed the errors by tomorrow ( :pray), but I'm not sure my proofreader will have time for it.
So maybe on Monday...  :uhoh

And now I'm off to LW arena for some frustration relief...  :devil

:lol :lol :lol I now understand your worry Lusche   :lol :lol :lol

oh yes and it seems there are a few missing % of kills in most kills area ...P51, pantherG are a couple

what a mission to gather and compile just this lot....when do you find time to play ( just going on previous stats of yours it seems to be a full time job and now you just burden yourself with yet another area of stats to compile...

Could you possibly provide some more detail? A systematical error here could very likely have an influence on other stats and analysis too, so I'm very eager to find it as quick as possible.
