ENY SYSTEM SUCKS

The eny program in this game needs a serious rework, or do away with it completely because it is not working.

I don't know what can be done to fix the system but it definitely needs to be fixed, this is just one time that this has happened, it happens all the time, case in point...

So would it be better if the threshold was lower and more people were denied the ride of their choice ?

Would it be better if you could just hit a button and deny the guys you don't like their aircraft of choice ?

Does the ENY do anything in game other than make people theorize that HTC likes country X more than their country, and frustrate people who are country loyal that want to fly low ENY rides?

Does it actually have any positive impact on the game whatsoever?  Not what it's designed to do, but what it actually does.  From my point of view, the answer is no, but I'm wondering what others think?

No, it's strictly based on arena population. Simply speaking, ENY limiter is based on comparing your country's % to the % of the smallest coutnry. Once a certain threshold is crossed, ENY kicks in, going up quickly as the imbalance is getting greater.

Yes. It levels the playing field... somewhat. Far from being perfect, but much better than having no ENY limiter at all.

Skyrim has sort of run its course as my 'primary game', I'm back in the skies more often again, headhunting high ponies and jugs.

What would the difference be though?  I'm not talking about making cheap perk rides for the low sides either, I'm talking purely from the standpoint of limiting the high side-  Do they actually switch, put up with the higher ENY rides, or log?

I personally see little to no difference between 5 P47D25s above me looking to kill me and 5 P51s doing the same.  I also don't see the numbers even out much over the course of 2 or 3 hours that can't be explained by people simply logging for the night.

No N1k, Bf 110 and Lancasters do restrict the landgrabbing horde somewhat, and as a player lving to hunt goons in a fast plane in a sector full of enemies, 5 D-2's are much less of a threat than 5 Ponies. No N1k, Bf 110 and Lancasters do restrict the landgrabbing horde somewhat, and as a player lving to hunt goons in a fast plane in a sector full of enemies, 5 D-2's are much less of a threat than 5 Ponies. They actually are less capable in the A2A role...

I'll concede it may make a difference in some relatively limited roles like your goon example, but I find it difficult to see that much difference between multitudes of lancs versus multitudes of other buffs, and there's plenty of high ENY stuff that will jabo all day.

It just seems to me to be a whine generator from both sides, either by restricting one country loyal set of players, or by not restricting a country loyal set of players that the other side feels should be restricted.

Perhaps it's a difference since the consolidation of the two arenas, we're seeing more situations where one side has a 40 to 50 man advantage, with no ENY and people see that as more of a problem than a 10 or 15 man advantage with no ENY in a smaller arena.

IMHO, the only way you can have a more severe/restrictive ENY system would be to give players the choice to opt out and move to balance the sides.  I'm somewhat ambivalent about the thought that a player would not be able to fly his or her plane of choice w/out any way out of the situation short of logging off till the numbers balance out. 

Alternate ideas would be allow side switching within the 12 hour window as long as it was to address the population balance, or using ENY has a base number to determine perk price, ie if the country ENY number is higher than the ENY value of the plane you can still fly it but there would be a perk price attached to it.  Haven't thought through either idea completely, they could be absolutely horrible ideas for all I know (most of mine are ).

I rarely fly anything with a eny less than 15, the point is when there is a more than 30 aircraft flying per side more than any other side there should be a eny increase, would reduce the hoarding aspect, I think at least.
